Think you know Florida? This month, we spoke to some of our Members who have traveled to the Sunshine State using Destination Xchange to learn more about their favorite places in the region, beyond the allure of the theme parks and beaches.

Florida’s central Atlantic coastline is home to numerous attractions — from the galactic wonders of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center to the diverse ecosystems of the surrounding wetlands.
For Robin F., a Member since 2009, one of the perks of Destination Xchange is the ability to visit places that may not have been on his list: “Our favorite Destination Xchange properties are on Florida’s East Coast, in Daytona Beach and Cocoa Beach. On one trip, we were staying near the SpaceX facilities, and we were able to see four rocket launches, which was a special memory.”

“Our favorite Destination Xchange property is Holiday Inn Club Vacations Cape Canaveral Beach Resort in Central Florida. The accommodation was great, but the best part was its proximity to excursions. Two stand-out excursions for us were a bird-watching trip on Merritt Island and seeing rockets lift off.”

Central Gulf Coast
Over on the Central Gulf Coast of Florida, Members can relax on the idyllic white sand beaches in Clearwater, explore the vibrant arts scene and cultural gems like the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg or take a tour of one of Dunedin’s many craft breweries.
Albert and Judith K., Members since 2016, recently headed to Dunedin on Florida’s Gulf Coast with Destination Xchange: “We stayed at the Beso Del Sol Resort in Dunedin. We found the property well maintained, and the pool and hot tub were welcoming. The staff and management were helpful.”
